AgWest’s cooperative structure with customer-member governance is one of the unique qualities that separates us from other lenders. Nominating Committee members are elected each year by the voting members to screen, interview and select director candidates for board elections. In 2024, Region 3 (Idaho) had two director positions up for election and Region 7 (Coastal California) had one director position up for election. The 2024 Nominating Committee selected two candidates to go on the ballot in each of these three positions. The committee also selected candidates to run for 12 positions on the 2025 Nominating Committee. Ballots were mailed to voting members following the September 18 Annual Stockholders’ Meeting.

The following were elected to the AgWest Board of Directors. Terms are effective January 1, 2025:

In 2025, Region 4 (Oregon) will have two director positions up for election, and Regions 6 (Southern San Joaquin Valley) and 8 (Southwest) will each have one director position up for election.
No person is eligible to be nominated, elected or appointed as an AgWest director unless he or she:
Candidates are required to provide information on business/financial relationships, financial disclosures and other information required to establish eligibility and that are required by regulation, AgWest Farm Credit bylaws and applicable board policies. If you would like to be considered for a director position in Region 4, 6 or 8, apply online or contact jill.surby@agwestfc.com. You must submit your information by January 1 to be considered by the Nominating Committee for the 2025 director elections.
The Nominating Committee considers numerous potential candidates from a number of different sources. Only those candidates that are selected by the Nominating Committee will be contacted to interview.
Nominating Committee members are elected each year by the voting members to screen, interview and select director candidates for board elections as well as candidates to serve on the following year’s Nominating Committee.
