AgWest’s cooperative structure with customer-member governance is one of the unique qualities that separates us from other lenders. Nominating Committee members are elected each year by the voting members to screen, interview and select director candidates for board elections. In 2025, Region 4 (Oregon) has two director positions up for election and Regions 6 (Southern San Joaquin Valley) and 8 (Southwest) each have one director position up for election. The 2025 Nominating Committee will interview and select candidates from Regions 4, 6 and 8 to be placed on the ballots that will be mailed to voting members following the Sept. 17 Annual Stockholders’ meeting. The committee will also select candidates to be voted on by voting members to fill eleven positions on the 2026 Nominating Committee, who will select candidates for the 2026 director elections.
In 2026, Region 1 (Washington), Region 2 (Montana) and Region 8 (Southwest) will each have one director position up for election.
No person is eligible to be nominated, elected or appointed as an AgWest director unless he or she:
Candidates are required to provide information on business/financial relationships, financial disclosures and other information required to establish eligibility and that are required by regulation, AgWest Farm Credit bylaws and applicable board policies. The Nominating Committee considers numerous potential candidates from a number of different sources. Only those candidates that are selected by the Nominating Committee will be contacted to interview.
