Nate Riggers

Nate Riggers has been a Farm Credit customer for over 30 years and currently serves on the AgWest Board of Directors. He was elected to the Northwest Farm Credit Services board of directors in 2014 and has since served on each committee and as both Board Chair and Vice Chair. 

Nate owns and operates Riggers Clearwater Farms JV, a dry land small grains farm located in north-central Idaho. The farm grows wheat, malt barley, turf grass seed, canola and chickpeas. The farm is also a founding partner of Cold Stream Malt & Grain Co. which processes craft malt barley and sells finished craft malt to craft breweries throughout the Pacific Northwest. Nate also serves as an Advisory Board member for Crop Life America.

Nate is a 1987 graduate of the University of Idaho. His wife Christine teaches Family & Consumer Science at Nezperce High School. They have three children. Their son Christopher and wife Natalie are partners in the farming operation. 

In his spare time, Nate enjoys reading, skiing, his grandchildren and playing songs from the 70s & 80s on his grand piano.
