Robert Amarel serves on the AgWest Farm Credit Board of Directors. He previously served on the Farm Credit West board, since 2007, and was a past Chairman of the Human Capital Committee. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Sunsweet Growers Inc. and Director of the California Dried Prune Board and the Prune Marketing Committee Federal Marketing Order. Robert is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), a Board Leadership Fellow, and a member of the Farm Bureau. He completed the Farm Credit Premier Governance Series certification program. 

Robert owns and manages commercial properties in California and also produces prunes, walnuts, and almonds at his operation, Reason Farms, in Yuba City, California. In his spare time, Robert enjoys farming with his son, flying his airplane and golfing.
