Tom McKeirnan

General Counsel

Tom serves as EVP, General Counsel, and is responsible for providing strategic legal advice to the association’s board and executives and overseeing all legal and regulatory matters. Tom grew up in Spokane, Washington, and comes from a family of farmers who continue to produce grain on their land in Pomeroy, Washington.

Tom earned his bachelor’s degree in finance at Santa Clara University, his MBA at Gonzaga University and his JD at the University of Washington School of Law. Tom joined Northwest Farm Credit Services in June 2020. He was formerly EVP, General Counsel at Red Lion Hotels Corporation for 17 years, and before that practiced corporate and transactional law for eight years at regional firms in Seattle and Spokane.

Tom and his family enjoy spectator sports, traveling and spending time together at the lake. In the fall, Tom volunteers as an assistant freshmen football coach. He has also served over the years in various philanthropic leadership roles in the Spokane community, and currently serves as a director on the Gonzaga Preparatory School Foundation.
